Klaipeda (Lithuania) The Heart project 2019

After the great success of the last year, when our 100-year-old Company of Luminarie celebrated the 100th anniversary of Lithuania’s independence.
the Klaipeda Light Festival has decided to reconfirm our presence by choosing the “Hearth” project as a symbol of love for the neighbor and for the Country, dedicated to two important events in February: the day of Lithuanian independence and Valentine’s Day.
From February 14th to 17th our Heart lit up, arousing a great expectation.
This is an installation that consists of a large Portal 24 meter high and 23 meters wide and a 100 meters long Gallery; LED lamps used  are more than 100 thousand and also 15,000 RGB lights with 120 dimmer channels.
Thanks to RGB technology we have programmed special effects modulated on theme music and Lithuanian melodies, the shows warmed up the hearts and the Baltic atmosphere. The shows were repeated every evening and every quarter of an hour
It was a great effort for our twelve Technicians to work at these latitudes for 18 days, where in addition to the bitter cold (the temperature is mostly below zero with peaks of – 11) it often snows, however this year we felt the affection and gratitude of the citizens who were happy for having back our Luminarie.

KLAIPĖDOJE ŠVIESŲ FESTIVALIS 2018

On February 16th, the marvelous centenarian Marianolight Luminarie were the protagonists of the celebrations in honor of the 100th anniversary of the independence of Lithuania, besides one hundred of the most precious bells played in unison throughout the Country to officially celebrate the event.

In the city of Klaipeda, the only Lithuanian port on the Baltic Sea, despite the snow and the glacial temperatures, the technicians of Marianolight installed the project ‘Gate of Century’, the main attraction of the Festival (from 14 to 18 February).

Much curiosity and interest aroused these ‘wooden frames embroidered with small light bulbs’, a real novelty for the local population; these light sculptures  had been chosen for their ability to create ‘party’ and joy with their colors and music. The ‘Gate of Centuries’ was illuminated with special light effects on the rhythm of typical Lithuanian melodies. It was a great effort for the technicians to work at these latitudes and be ready for the inauguration despite the bitter cold and the snow!
